General
•        Familiar with all of Michigan’s Energy Demonstration Centers, contractor for EN
House in Ann Arbor.
•        Grant reviewer for Michigan Energy Office.

Energy Efficiency/ Energy Star
•        Coordinator for 2006 Energy Star promotion project with Michigan Interfaith Power
& Light: promoting concept & label, facilitating purchasing, scheduling Energy Star
building assessments.
•        Coordinated Michigan’s 2003 Green Building Conference & Expo for Mid-
Michigan Environmental Action Council, which included large focus on energy
efficiency and Energy Star.

Renewable Energy
•        Partner with Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association on several conferences
and workshops, familiarity concepts. Creating renewable energy demonstrations for
2006 Interfaith Energy Conference.

Energy Conservation
•        Working with facility managers and building users to cut energy usage through
Michigan Interfaith Power & Light.

Climate Change
•        Helped organize Global Warming Rally at state Capitol in 2004. Understanding of
causes of and solutions to climate change.

Power Plant Pollution
•        Heavily researched for many grant applications, to show human health impacts
of coal-fired power.

Transportation
•        Researched Clean Cities Coalition Program (focused on brining alternative
fueled vehicles into large fleets and dealerships) for Grand Rapids clients in 2004.
•        Coordinated Smart Commute Program for Mid-Michigan Environmental Action
Council in 2005 and 2006.

•        EPA Energy Star Promotion Training: 2003

•        MDEQ Waste Reduction & Energy Efficiency Conference: 2001, 2002, 2003

•        Kalamazoo College Coursework: Physics 105, Energy and The Environment: a
study of concepts of energy and entropy, and societal implications that follow from
alternative modes of energy production, amount of energy consumption, and the ways
that energy is used.
