• Participant in Greater Lansing Regional Committee for Stormwater Management,
2004-2006.
• Familiarity with requirements of Phase II requirements for urbanized areas.
• Lead advocacy campaign to permit Lansing Public Service Department apply for
funding for rain gardens on Michigan Avenue.
• Helped start Mid-Michigan Environmental Action Council’s Volunteer Stream
Monitoring Program in 2002; recently secured grant funds to run the program in 2006
and 2007, with commitment for continued project support from GLRC starting in 2008.
• Assisted with Mid-Michigan Environmental Action Council’s Storm Drain Labeling
Project in 2003 and 2004.
• Organized conference & workshops on related topics at MDEQ: Illicit discharges,
NPDES permitting, Stormwater Management, etc.
